Mission: Empowering, Educating, and Enhancing Natural Beauty
Purpose: Our purpose calls attention to the plight of the many people of color and/or African descent whose hair has often been viewed as a stigma and object of negativity. By teaching better methods for, but not limited to, natural hair and the body as a whole, B.A.N.T.U hopes to eliminate the negative stereotypes associated with these parts and empower, educate, and enhance natural beauty.

How do I start my own group?
Thank you for the information! This is a great website to learn about our hair
Wow! This is awesome. I had no idea there were college support groups for natural hair. i wish I would’ve thought of that when I was in school!
All of my support back in 2004 came from the Internet. While that worked out very well and I met a lot of wonderful ladies online, I think having that in person support would’ve been great! Thanks for posting this list!
