I have contemplated writing this post for sometime now.. Went through it in my mind Ask myself should I But why do I have this platform if in times like this, I choose to be silent? Yes the title is off putting but I had to get your attention! My people are hurting and so am I so I need to share this. I am tired due to recent events Tired because I don't want to see my people suffer Tired because no one cares when we are killed Tired because my people don't understand there is a way out Have you ever looked this word up? Black - thoroughly sinister or evil, wicked; indicative of condemnation or discredit; connected with or invoking the supernatural and especially the devil; characterized by the absence of light; dirty, soiled; Marked by anger or sullenness; Deserving of, indicating, or incurring censure or dishonor; wicked or harmful... This definition is straight from the dictionary. The definition goes on and on and on with nothing but negative things to say about this word. If you believe nothing else, believe what your eyes are showing you in the news and in the media and everywhere else. THIS is what they think of us THIS is what they believe about us THIS is why they treat us like they do In their minds, we DESERVED to be enslaved. We DESERVED to be killed in the streets and shot down like dogs. We HAVE NO RIGHTS! If they didn't why do they call every other race "brown" but classify us as "black"? I don't know one black person... not one. My friends, my associates, my family. All are brown You know why? Because of the definition above. Far too often we deal with how WE think, what WE feel, how WE see things and never think about the person's thought pattern who's actually oppressing us. THIS is how they think and if you want to live and improve the situation, you must first understand how the person against you thinks! I have brothers, friends, a father, cousins, nephews, a fiance, all who are African-American men. This could have been all of them not just one My heart has been so heavy the past few days because I know when they look at them and at me, that is the definition they see. THAT is the narrative that plays through their head. My people are lost because we were made like this. We were shaped like this, we were molded like this and now they have no use for us and want to get rid of us. I keep hearing "Black people been praying for years and that hasn't done anything for us." We see the slave religion passed down from generation to generation. Teachings with no understanding, garbled words being passed off as "speaking in tongues" and church "leaders" who use and abuse the people. It has given the next generation, MOSTLY MY GENERATION, a sour taste in it's mouth when it comes to any biblical principles. And RIGHTFULLY SO BUT, Who are you praying to? Do you even know him? Are you familiar with him? Are you even praying to the RIGHT god? Were the generations before us even serving the RIGHT god? Following the RIGHT jesus or were we following the white jesus just like those who owned us did? Who justified our slavery by THAT jesus! I wouldn't follow him either!!! People perish for the lack of knowledge and that's been our problem! Feeling like we should fit into a society that sees us as the above definition Not understanding that we should have our own, BUILD our own, SUPPORT our own, BUY from our own, HAVE our own Before you dismiss this post, i really need you to think about the current affairs and ask yourself if the definition is what people think of us because as far as I can see, IT IS how they think. What should we do in a county that sees us as a threat? African- Americans have a chance if they would just let go of white jesus and turn to the real one. Lucky for us there is man who comes to save us named Jesus Of Nazareth, who himself fully understand what it's like to be oppressed for no reason, down trodden, denied human rights, beaten, afflicted but went through all of this so that we may have life. Isaiah 53: For before him he grew up like a young plant, like a root out of dry ground. He was not well-formed or especially handsome; we saw him, but his appearance did not attract us. 3 People despised and avoided him, a man of pains, well acquainted with illness. Like someone from whom people turn their faces, he was despised; we did not value him. 4 In fact, it was our diseases he bore, our pains from which he suffered; yet we regarded him as punished, stricken and afflicted by God. 5 But he was wounded because of our crimes, crushed because of our sins; the disciplining that makes us whole fell on him, and by his bruises* we are healed. 6 We all, like sheep, went astray; we turned, each one, to his own way; yet Adonai laid on him the guilt of all of us. 7 Though mistreated, he was submissive — he did not open his mouth. Like a lamb led to be slaughtered, like a sheep silent before its shearers, he did not open his mouth. 8 After forcible arrest and sentencing, he was taken away; and none of his generation protested his being cut off from the land of the living for the crimes of my people, who deserved the punishment themselves. 9 He was given a grave among the wicked; in his death he was with a rich man. Although he had done no violence and had said nothing deceptive, 10 yet it pleased Adonai to crush him with illness, to see if he would present himself as a guilt offering. He relates to us on so many levels. This same man also said Luke 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. - #JesusOfNazarethSaidThat Luke 4:18 -19- The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. #JesusOfNazarethSaidThat You have been following the wrong jesus.. Find the right one, the REAL one, because "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10 #JesusOfNazarethSaidThat We want to save our people, we have to understand how to do it and who can do it. Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. The GOSPEL of Christ is the POWER of God. Do you realize what the POWER of God can do? It can open the Red Sea Exodus 14:21 It can plague an entire nation Exodus 9 It can give a single man the strength to stand alone and defend an entire nation Judges 16 It give a barren woman the children she longs for Samuel 1 It can open the eyes of the blind John 9 It can make a man walk John 5 It can stop 3 men from being killed WHILE they stand in fire. Daniel 3 It can close the mouth of lions Daniel 6 IT CAN RAISE A MAN FROM THE DEAD John 11 So what about us? What about our people? So what is the Gospel of Christ? Ask me and I'll tell you because my people have been in the wilderness for FAR FAR too long and we are tired of being tired.
