Why Did You Go Natural? I went natural because I started to noticed how soft & curly my hair was at the root. I wasn't a fan of how much damage relaxers had on my hair & ultimately I wanted to be able to to wear my natural hair out; without all the damage the relaxers employed. How long have you been natural and when did you BC? I've been natural for about 3.5 years now, maybe longer. Instead of doing one big chop I spent one year(every 3 months to be exact) cutting a few inches at a time. It made the transition much more manageable & less overwhelming. What are your staple products and hairstyles? Organic Coconut Oil(over night ), Aunt Jackie's Curl Lala, Aunt Jackie's Curls & Coils last but not least a little Argon oil. Hairstyles? It would have to be all down & a super high curly bun, I find it super sexy. What are your natural hair goals? I'd like to continue allowing my hair to grow while finding that perfect middle grown with wearing my hair natural & not having it get to knotted after 3days. How do you keep your hair intact overnight? Slik pillow case!!! It works wonders, Cotten cases tend to take the natural oils out the hair & causes major breakage. Slik cases allow it to sit on the surface and slide without breaking the ends of my hair. How do you maintain length? Trimming, I trim my hair once every 6 months & I have off days, off days are ideally when I wash my hair after a cocoanut oil treatment & don't add any products at all, I just let it breath for a day or 2 before doing a deep conditioning & wearing it natural with some auntie Jackie curl Lala & argon oil. Name 1 reason you went natural and why you love being natural. One reason I went natural was to enjoy the beauty my parents have given me as a Latin carribbean, beautiful hair!!! I love being natural because its real!, its freeing & because there's nothing more pleasing then that little bounce your hair has as your curls jump around while you walk down the city streets.
