This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Sally Beauty for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

I continuously hear how people can never get their twistout "to look like mine".

I believe that everyone's hair is uniquely beautiful and no one twistout will look the same. I was so excited when Sally Beauty challenged me to take the (Hair) Dare with their products to get my best hair ever.

I want to challenge you to take the Sally Beauty (Hair) Dare and create your own version of a twistout using my step by step instructions below. When you create your look post it on social media using hashtag #SallyHairDare. Have fun with it!
  1. Start out with stretched hair. My best twistouts always come from old hair because there is less shrinkage

  2. Chose your products! Personally, if I could live in hair butters I would. They keep the hair stretched out, help to show off more length and keep it moisturized for days on end. I'm using the Silk Elements Pure Oils Detangling Shampoo, Hydrating Masque, Leave-in, Butter and Gel. You can check these products out in the vide below. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Emdj3MryNc)

  3. Keep your hands close to your twist when you twist your hair. Instead of moving your hands down the hair strand, keep them close to the twist and let the hair "twist itself" if that makes sense.

  4. Take down your hair from tip to root. When you take your hair down, use the Silk Elements Pure Oils Hair Butter on your hands so you won't create frizz. Be gentle with your hair and unwind your twist in the opposite direction that you twisted it in. Just let it untwist itself!

  5. Pick out your roots. You can use a pick (like this Tool Structure one from Sally's) to pick your hair out once you've taken it all down. Picking out the roots gives your hair more volume and make it look fuller.

NOTE: This is 3rd day hair. The pictures from day one were not clear. You can check out what my day one hair usually looks like here   While it does take some practice, it's not as hard as you would imagine it to get those "perfect" stretched ringlets. If there is even a thing such as "perfect". So now it’s your turn to take the Sally (Hair) Dare! What are your tweaks for getting your best twistout?
