Last Friday, Beautiful Textures hosted an intimate tastemaker dinner at the library in The Redbury Hotel in Los Angeles, in honor of Felicia Leatherwood and Issa Rae's web series "Head  Cases." Both ladies serve as the series executive producers of the series, with Leatherwood also pulling double duty as the host. Leatherwood, a celebrity hair stylist with clients like Ava Duvernay, Jill Scott and Teyonah Parris visits the homes of women who are encountering hair challenges and teaches them how to solve them. This dinner also celebrated the release of Issa Rae's New York Times best-selling memoir, "The  Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl". Attendees included actress Teyonah Parris, on-air personality, Tanika Ray and models Nikia Phoenix and Tomiko Hines.
