How long have you been natural and when did you BC? I have been natural since March 2009 I transitioned for 11 months. What are your staple products and hairstyles? My staple products are : Vatika Coconut oil, EVOO, Miss Jessie’s Curly Buttercreme and Curly Pudding, Giovanni Tea Treat Triple Treat Invigorating Conditioner, Herbal Essence “Drench to Quench” Moisturizing Conditioner , Suave Humectant Shampoo, SheaMoisure Organic Coconut and Hibiscus Moisture Mist . My favorite hairstyles are twist outs and funk updos. I also love wigs so I wear them from time to time. What is your regimen? I really don’t have a regimen but I shampoo and do a deep conditioning once a week and co-wash as needed usually every other day depending on what style I am wearing. What are your natural hair goals? My natural goal is to be healthy and maintain length. I would like to be able to have my twist out reach my shoulders. [gallery columns="4"] How do you keep your hair intact overnight? I sleep on a satin pillowcase or wear a bonnet. If I am wearing a twist out I will re-wet and twist back up for the night. How do you maintain length? I maintain length by keeping my ends moisturized and not combing when my hair is dry. I wear protective styles a lot such as buns. Name 1 reason you went natural and why you love being natural The main reason I went natural was a personal challenge to me to be able to take care of my hair and grow it long without chemicals. The versatility of being able to be curly one day and straight the other is the best reason about being natural. You are able to do many different looks and play up your personality through your hair.
