What is your name and your profession?
I go by Marie, I'm a stay at home mom. I'm also a freelance MUA.
Why did you go natural?
I didn't go natural, but I stayed natural cause I knew nothing different. I wanted a perm in high school, off "trend" but my mom never allowed it. Every time I'd get asked how my hair got so long, I really wouldn't know how to answer so I would say "I don't know it just grows". The next question would always be "What I do to it" and I would just say well, "I never had a perm".
How long have you been natural and when did you BC?
All my life, so 28 years!!
What are your staple products and hairstyles?
Definitely Mane n' Tail Shampoo and Conditioner. Queen Helen Cholesterol Crème both I've been using since a kid. Some of my new loves are Herbal Essence Hello Hydration, Pantene Relaxed and Natural. As for hair, a overnight 4 plait braid out.
What are your natural hair goals?
I would say to maintain hair health.
How do you keep your hair intact overnight?
I figured out years ago that if I didn't lay on my curls or hair they would last and would tangle. That is what they now call the "pineapple method"
How do you maintain length?
Keep my hair moisturized and work slowly on tangles.
Name 1 reason you went natural and why you love being natural.
I love that my hair's never been chemically altered. Natural hair is trending and that's exciting, I love being inspiring to the newly naturals.
