I’ve been natural since 2004, I first BC August of ‘04 and it was the best thing I could have done. Had my second BC May 2008 due to Seborrhoeic dermatitis….
What are your staple products and hairstyles?
My staple products are organic oils anything from coconut, olive, sun flower oils, to unrefined shea butter mixed with those oils as well as EO shampoo/conditioner. I also love jam for my edges and Africa’s Best Organic hair mayo and shea butter moisturizers. I love to rock twist-outs and wash-n-go’s very simple and cute comes out different every time.
What are your natural hair goals?
The only goal I have for my hair is to maintain healthiness. Growth comes second to that.
How do you keep your hair intact overnight?
At night I keep my hair in fatty twist or braids and tie it down with a satin head wrap or scarf.
How do you maintain length?
I maintain growth by keeping my hair healthy, sticking to simple and basic products and a simple hair regiment.
Name 1 reason you went natural and why you love being natural.
Honestly, it’s just so much I can say as to why but I’ll try and keep it short. I’ve always admired natural hair and the uniqueness behind it. It seemed so different then the norm and I am just that… Being natural was just something that came to me as a natural decision it wasn’t a certain reason. I thought it looked good and thought to myself “well here’s something you haven’t tried” Once I made the decision to cut my hair as short as I did I knew it made me a stronger person because I didn’t care what anyone thought, it was about me accepting and loving myself when others wouldn’t or couldn’t. I love being natural because it’s versatile and sexy. Anything straight hair can do natural hair can do better =)
