How long have you been natural and when did you BC?

I’ve been natural now for 3 years come June 27, 2010.

What are your staple products and hairstyles? 

Staple hairstyles include twists, plaits, puffs (which I am trying to get rid of) and cornrow styles. As for products, well I really like a Shealoe butter that I made, I like Blended Beauty Soy Cream Shampoo, and I love my Avocado deep conditioner. I enjoy using oils and aloe vera mixed in water as a spritz as well.

What are your natural hair goals?  

Healthy natural hair that is long (hoping to get to MBL), and hair that has very limited breakage/shedding and is overall strong and bouncy and beautiful.

How do you keep your hair intact overnight? 

Depending on the style it’s in, I typically tie my hair with a satin scarf or wear a satin bonnet to bed.

How do you maintain length? 

Moisture! It’s the only way around it. If I don’t adequately moisturize my hair, my ends take a sever beating for it. I’d say moisturizing and protective styling play a very big part in the growth and length of my hair.

Name 1 reason you went natural and why you love being natural.

I went natural because I missed it..I was natural before, and did an impromptu perm..hated it and decided to go back to what I knew and loved. I love being natural because it’s me! It’s one thing that I can express myself with. I love it because my hair is unique and by loving my hair I learn the gift of truly appreciating things for what they are.
