What is your name and your profession? Hi! My name is Shannon and I'm currently a clinical intake team lead for Humana insurance. Why did you go natural? I went natural because I noticed my relaxed hair always looked thin. I also used to see some awesome naturals online and thought wow their hair really looks healthy so I tried it. How long have you been natural and when did you BC? I have been natural for 4 years. I had a lot cut off last year (mishap at the hairdresser), but it's definitely growing back. I wore braids and quick weaves for 7 months straight and then I chopped my hair. The two textures were too unbearable, so I just snipped the relaxed ends. What are your staple products and hairstyles? My staple products are unrefined Shea butter, coconut oil, Tressemme shampoo/conditioner, and Queen Helen cholesterol conditioning cream. What are your natural hair goals? My natural hair goal used to be waist length hair.  Now, all I want is healthy hair. So, I maybe doing another chop really soon to achieve my goal. How do you keep your hair intact overnight? I experiment with a lot of different styles.  It could be braids, two strands twist, or Bantu knots. I put a bonnet on my head and then go night night. How do you maintain length? Conditioning, being gentle, and being patient. Length will come, but you have to be committed to take time out for your hair. Name 1 reason you went natural and why you love being natural. My number 1 reason for going natural was for health. I love thick luscious hair. The reason I love being natural is because it has given me a confidence I've never had. When I walk in the room I stand out because I have  huge red hair, and it draws people in. I love my natural hair :) Where else can we find you on the net? You can find me on instagram @Shaefree
