What is your name and what do you do? My name is Justin Thomas (sunshine brown) and I am an artist and a renaissance man. I'm a musician and my principle instrument is the trumpet. I also host at Apache Cafe Midtown Atlanta. How long have you been growing out your locs? I've been growing my locs since the start of 2007. Who is your loctician?  I am my own loctician. What is your regimen for your locs? The only thing that comes close to a regimen is that I make an effort to cover my locs when I sleep or not in public. However, when I twist my hair I twist from root then I palm roll. It generally take me at least 4 hours. Have your locs ever hindered you professionally? Since I'm an artist, my locs have not hindered me in anyway...my profession is free How do you feel about the natural hair movement taking place amongst African American women? I have always loved natural hair amongst Women of Color especially African American Women. There is a natural non chemical base hairstyle for all women! Any advice to someone just starting out on their journey If you want natural to be your look ... love your hair, feel good about and your hair will make you look good!
